COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State sophomore forward Avery McBride has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Fresno State junior goalkeeper Ashton Conley was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Wyoming newcomer Hadley Linder was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

AVERY MCBRIDE, BOISE STATE

Sophomore, Forward, Boise, Idaho/Mountain View HS

  • Led Boise State to a 2-0-0 record last week with victories over Utah Tech (2-0) and Southern Utah (3-0).
  • Recorded three goals for six points in 104 minutes of action on the pitch.
  • Scored the game-winning against Utah Tech.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ASHTON CONLEY, FRESNO STATE

Junior, Goalkeeper, Wichita, Kansas/Butler CC

  • Guided Fresno State to a 1-0 win at Oregon State.
  • Recorded a shutout in her first career start as a Bulldog.
  • Registered three saves, including a diving stop with two seconds left on the game clock.

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

HADLEY LINDER, WYOMING

Midfielder, Highlands Ranch, Colorado/Mountain Vista HS

  • Helped Wyoming to a 1-0-0 record last week with a victory over South Dakota (4-0).
  • Recorded a goal and an assist for three points in 74 minutes of play.
  • Tallied a team-high six shots.
