COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado College senior midfielder Brett Tsamasfyros has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Air Force senior defender Hannah Johnson was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Fresno State newcomer Sam Paepen was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRETT TSAMASFYROS, COLORADO COLLEGE
Senior, Midfielder, San Mateo, California/Aragon HS

  • Helped Colorado College to a 1-1-0 record with a win over UC Santa Barbara (3-2) and a loss to Southern Utah (2-0).
  • Recorded the Tigers’ first hat trick since 2017 with three goals against the Gauchos.
  • Tallied six points and six shots in two starts.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HANNAH JOHNSON, AIR FORCE
Senior, Defender, Castle Rock, Colorado/Douglas County HS

  • Helped Air Force to a 1-0-1 record last week with a 1-0 win over Northern Arizona and scoreless draw against Montana.
  • Anchored the Academy backline that allowed no goals and six shots on goal over two matches.
  • Scored the game-winning goal against Northern Arizona.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SAM PAEPEN, FRESNO STATE
Midfielder, Tessenderlo, Belgium/Campus MAX

  • Helped Fresno State secure a 2-1 come-from-behind win over CSU Bakersfield.
  • Scored the equalizing goal in the 87th minute.
  • Registered three shots, two of which were on goal.
