BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—The Nevada women’s volleyball team pulled off another exhilarating five-set win (25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 19-25, 15-10) against Oregon State at the Icardo Center on Friday night. This victory, Nevada’s fourth in five sets this season, propels the Wolf Pack to a strong 4-1 start in preseason play, highlighting their knack for rising to the occasion in high-pressure moments.

Carissa Chainey led the offensive charge with 19 kills, hitting .275 for the match, while Gabby McLaughlin added 18 kills and was a consistent force at the net. Setter Tehya Maeva contributed significantly with 46 assists, orchestrating a balanced offense that kept Oregon State’s defense on its toes. Defensively, libero Kinsley Singleton tallied 21 digs, continuing her standout performance this season, while Nevada also posted 10 total team blocks with Bella Snyder leading the team with six.

Nevada started strong, narrowly taking the first two sets, but Oregon State clawed back to push the match into a deciding fifth set. In the final set, the Wolf Pack took command, using timely kills from McLaughlin and Chainey to close out the 15-10 victory.

The Wolf Pack will now look to finish the Roadrunner Classic on a high note when they face tournament host Cal State Bakersfield tomorrow at 2PM. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
