COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2024 season is UNLV’s Jordyn Freeman, while the Defensive Player of the Week is Wyoming’s Sierra Grizzle. Collecting the Freshman of the Week nod is Boise State’s Kiki Remensperger.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JORDYN FREEMAN, UNLV

Graduate, Middle Blocker, San Diego, California/Rancho Bernardo High School

  • Led the Rebels to a perfect opening weekend with three wins over Northwestern, 3-2, Iowa State (RV), 3-2, and Pacific, 3-0.
  • Totaled 27 kills with a .479 hitting percentage.
  • Against Northwestern, collected 9 kills.
  • Delivered 11 kills against Iowa State.
  • Tallied seven kills against Pacific.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SIERRA GRIZZLE, WYOMING

Sophomore, Libero, Boise, Idaho/Mountain View

  • Helped the Cowgirls to a 2-0 week with wins over Washington State (RV), 3-2, and Omaha, 3-0.
  • Logged 45 digs with a perfect reception percentage and averaged 5.63 digs per set.
  • Against Washington State, produced 34 digs.
  • At Omaha, logged 11 digs.

FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KIKI REMENSPERGER, BOISE STATE

Freshman, Setter, San Diego, California/Poway High School

  • Helped the Broncos to a 2-1 week, sweeping Tennessee State and VCU, 3-0.
  • The setter logged two double-doubles during her college debut weekend.
  • At Arizona, contributed 17 assists, 14 digs, two service aces and one kill.
  • Against Tennessee State, tallied 14 assists, four digs, a pair of kills and two service aces.
  • Notched 13 assists and 13 digs, one kill and one service ace against VCU.
