Former Colorado College women’s soccer player Jacqui Hand was named to the New Zealand National Team that will compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics Games in Paris, France. The games are officially set to begin on July 26.
The forward finished her career at Colorado College, tied for 28th place in program history with 42 points and tied for 15th place with 18 career goals. She was named a second-team all-Mountain West selection three times.
Hand, a 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches all-region selection and second-team All-Mountain West selection, made her international debut for New Zealand in a 5-1 loss to Canada in October of 2021. She scored her first goal on Nov. 27, 2021, in a 2-1 loss to South Korea.
The Auckland, New Zealand native has played four matches for the New Zealand national roster in 2024.
New Zealand will face Zambia in an international friendly match on July 14th in Vichy, France.
