EUGENE, Ore. – San Diego State track and field’s season came to an end on Saturday with the final day of the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field. Jenna Fee Feyerabend and Xiamara Young were the final two Aztecs in action, competing in the heptathlon and triple jump respectively.

Feyerabend had three events on the schedule to close out the heptathlon. Starting in long jump, she recorded a wind-aided mark of 5.69m (18-8) on her third attempt for 756 points. Her best placement of the weekend came in the javelin throw, finishing seventh with a throw of 41.55m (136-4) on her second attempt. The finale of the multis event was in the 800m where the Germany native crossed the line in 2:16.38, shattering her personal best by nearly three full seconds for 873 points.

For the two-day event, she totaled 5,812 points across the seven events finishing 9th overall. The point total and placement are the best by an Aztec at the NCAA Championships since Allison Reaser at the 2014 championship meet (2nd place; 5,836 points). Feyerabend also improves on her SDSU all-time ranking moving into second on the top ten list.

Xiamara Young finished 21st in triple jump in the early afternoon. Her best mark of 12.70m (41-8) came on her second attempt. The placement gives her honorable mention all-America status.
