LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fresno State volleyball’s Dionii Fraga has been named Pacific South Freshman of the Year and All-Region Honorable mention, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.
The Pacific South Region includes 21 DI universities including six Mountain West and six PAC-12 institutions.
As the starting libero in all 131 sets played by the Bulldogs this season, Fraga totaled 544 digs to lead the Mountain West. She averaged 4.15 digs per set and broke the program record for digs from a freshman.
Fraga also added 104 assists to average 0.79 per set as well as 28 service aces with an average of 0.21 per set.
As the regular season concluded, Fraga was also named Mountain West Freshman of the Year and All-Mountain West. After the Bulldogs won the Mountain West Championship for the first time in program history, Fraga was also selected for the All-Tournament Team.
