COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The bracket is set for the 2023 Mountain West Women’s Soccer Championship, which kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 29, at the Madrid Soccer Complex in Laramie, Wyoming.

The six-team, single-elimination tournament will feature two matches on Sunday, Oct. 29, and Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. MT and 2 p.m. MT with the championship final being played on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Noon MT. All five matches will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and the MW App. Live stats for each match will also be available on the 2023 MW Women’s Soccer Championship Central page.

San Diego State claimed the 2023 regular-season title with a 9-1-1 Conference record and earned the No. 1 seed in the MW tournament. The Aztecs have won seven regular-season crowns since the league’s inception in 1999. SDSU is making its 23rd appearance, including each of the last four Conference postseason tournaments.

Earning its sixth MW championship appearance, Utah State is the No. 2 seed after concluding MW play with a 9-2-0 mark. With the No. 2 seed, the Aggies earned their highest seed in program history.

Boise State earned the No. 3 seed after finishing the league season with an 8-2-1 record. The Broncos are making their 10th MW tournament appearance in program history and first since 2021.

With a 6-3-2 Conference record, Colorado State is the No. 4 seed in the MW tournament and is making its third Conference tournament appearance in program history. The Rams’ last postseason appearance was in 2021.

Fresno State earned its first MW tournament berth since 2021 and will be the No. 5 seed after registering a 4-4-3 mark in Conference action. The Bulldogs are making their seventh MW postseason appearance.

Nevada is the No. 6 seed in the 2023 MW championship after concluding league action with a 4-6-1 record. The Wolf Pack are making their third MW postseason appearance and first since 2013.

In Sunday’s opening round, No. 3 Boise State plays No. 6 Nevada at 11 a.m. MT, followed by No. 4 Colorado State vs. No. 5 Fresno State at 2 p.m. MT. The winner of Sunday’s first match will take on No. 2 seed Utah State at 11 a.m. MT on Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the first of two semifinal matches. The other semifinal contest on Wednesday will pit top-seed San Diego State against the winner of Sunday’s No. 4 vs. No. 5 contest at 2 p.m. MT.

The winners of the semifinal matches will vie for the Conference championship title on Saturday, Nov. 4. The winner will be crowned the 2023 MW women’s soccer champions and punch their ticket to the NCAA women’s soccer tournament.
