COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming junior Kasia Partyka has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week while teammate Skylar Erickson secures Defensive Player of the Week honors. San José State’s Teya Nguyen has been tabbed the Mountain West Volleyball Freshman of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KASIA PARTYKA, WYOMING

- Led the Cowgirls to a 3-0 weekend at the Texas Tech Red Raider Classic.
- Leads the nation in assists per set (12.5).
- On the weekend, averaged 12.08 assists per set, while facilitating a .268 hitting percentage for the Cowgirls over three wins.
- Posted 43 assists in Wyoming’s 3-0 sweep over Texas A&M-Commerce (3-0).
- Logged back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Texas Tech and Louisiana.
- Against the Red Raiders (3-1), tallied 51 assists and 17 digs.
- Registered 51 assists and 14 digs in the five-set battle against the Ragin’ Cajuns (3-2).

- Helped the Cowgirls to another 3-0 weekend while at the Red Raider Classic.
- Averaged 4.50 digs per set on a total of 54 digs.
- Opened the weekend with 17 digs in the 3-0 sweep of Texas A&M-Commerce.
- Posted a career-high 21 digs against Texas Tech (3-1).
- Tallied 16 digs against Louisiana (3-2).
FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TEYA NGUYEN, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Freshman, Setter/Defensive Specialist, San Jose, California / Valley Christian HS
- Assisted the Spartans in a 2-1 week.
- Averaged 3.45 assists, 2.09 digs, and 0.55 aces per set in 11 sets played.
- Recorded first collegiate double-double with 13 assists and 11 digs in a four-set win over Portland.
- Logged a career-best three aces against the Pilots, including the match-winner.
- Against Cal State Fullerton, registered 12 assists, two aces, and seven digs in the 3-0 win.
- Against Sacramento State, tallied three kills and 13 assists.
