COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming sophomore midfielder Alyssa Glover has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while UNLV sophomore goalkeeper Hanne Breur was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. UNLV’s Trinity Buchanan has been tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA GLOVER, WYOMING
Sophomore, Midfielder, Englewood, Colorado/Cherry Creek HS
- Led Wyoming to a 1-0-1 record with a win at Omaha (2-1) and a draw at South Dakota State (3-3).
- Registered two goals for four points and six shots in two starts last weekend.
- Recorded the go-ahead goal at Omaha.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HANNE BREUR, UNLV
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, deBilt, Netherlands/Northwest University
- Guided UNLV to a 1-1 record with a win against UC Riverside (3-0) and a loss to Idaho (0-1).
- Allowed just one goal and recorded nine saves in 180 minutes of action in goal.
- Recorded second shutout of the year against UC Riverside.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
TRINITY BUCHANAN, UNLV
Midfielder, Henderson, Nevada/Coronado HS
- Helped UNLV to a 1-1 record with a win against UC Riverside (3-0) and a loss to Idaho (0-1).
- Recorded first-career goal in 3-0 win over UC Riverside.
- Tallied seven shots, including three shots on goal, in 129 minutes of action on the pitch.
