MESA, Ariz. – The Mountain West announced its 2026 All-MW baseball teams and individual honors as selected by the league’s nine head coaches ahead of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Baseball Championship.

San Diego State junior Jake Jackson has been selected as the Tony Gwynn Player of the Year, while Washington State sophomore Nick Lewis was named MW Pitcher of the Year. Air Force’s Wyatt Hanoian was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Year and first-year SDSU head coach Kevin Vance was named the MW Coach of the Year.

A native of San Diego, Jackson is just the second Aztec to garner MW Player of the Year and first since 2017. The junior batted .347 with 35 hits, including eight home runs and eight doubles, and 28 RBIs during league play. He also recorded 28 runs scored and seven walks.Lewis is the first Cougar selected as the MW Pitcher of the Year in program history. The sophomore recorded a 7-1 mark on the mound with a  2.83 ERA in eight starts. Lewis struck out 37 batters in MW play and limited opponents to 17 earned runs, 51 hits and 14 walks.

Hanoian is the third Falcon in program history to be named MW Freshman of the Year and first since 2021. The rookie posted a .429 batting average in 24 MW games, leading the Air Force offense. He recorded 36 hits, including 15 for extra bases, and 30 runs scored. Hanoian drove in 29 runs and recorded 13 walks in 2026.

In his first year at the helm on the Mesa, Vance was tabbed the MW Coach of the Year and is the third SDSU skipper to earn the honor. Vance led the Aztecs to the program’s fourth regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the 2026 Credit Union 1 MW Baseball Championship with an 16-8 mark.
