STANFORD, Calif. – Boise State redshirt junior Leia Chung concluded her historic 2025-26 campaign at the NCAA Stanford Regional, tying for 24th with a 217 (+4). This marks the lowest individual score at an NCAA Regional in program history, as well as the best finish.

Chung opened the tournament with a 72 (+1), firing a pair of birdies to end the round tied for 24th. She followed with a 74 (+2) in the second round, notching two more birdies. On the final day, she posted three birdies, securing a top-25 finish with an even-par round of 71.

Notables

  • Chung recorded the lowest 18-hole (71, E) and 54-hole (217, +4) scores at an NCAA Regional in program history.
  • The previous records were held by Genevive Ling, who carded a 236 (+20) at the East Regional in 2015, including a low round of 74 (+2).
  • Chung’s 24th-place finish is the best by a Bronco at an NCAA Regional, besting Ling’s 2015 finish of 79th. She is the third Boise State player to compete in an NCAA Regional, joining Ling and Acey Erlandson (2000).
  • Chung finishes the season with a 72.24 scoring average, second-best in program history. She holds the top spot at 72.10, set in 2023-24.
  • Chung’s career scoring average of 72.88 is the best in program history.
  • Chung has 20-career top-25 finishes, tying Beasley and Young for fifth-most in program history. She has eight during the 2025-26 campaign, placing her in a five-way tie for second in Boise State single-season history.
