COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Boise State senior guard Dylan Andrews has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Utah State forward Adlan Elamin was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.

This is the first weekly honor of the season for both Andrews and Elamin.

MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DYLAN ANDREWS, BOISE STATE

Senior, Guard, Gardena, California/UCLA

  • Led Boise State to a pair of victories over Nevada (91-87) in overtime and at New Mexico (91-90).
  • Averaged 29 points and five assists per game, while shooting 61.5 percent (16-for-26) from the field and 95.0 percent (19-of-20) from the charity stripe.
  • Scored a career-best 33 points behind a 9-for-14 effort (.643) from the floor in The Pit. Also tallied four assists and three rebounds.
  • Recorded 25 points and six assists against the Wolf Pack.

MEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

ADLAN ELAMIN, UTAH STATE

Forward, Arlington, Virginia/St. Paul VI Catholic HS

  • Helped Utah State to a 2-0 record on the road with wins over New Mexico (86-66) and Wyoming (85-83).
  • Averaged 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two starts for the Aggies. Also tallied two assists and a steal.
  • Against the Lobos, recorded first career double-double with 11 points and a team-high 10 boards.
  • In the victory over the Cowboys, posted six points and pulled down three rebounds.
