COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Grand Canyon senior guard Jaden Henley has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while UNLV forward Tyrin Jones was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.

JADEN HENLEY, GRAND CANYON
Senior, Guard, Ontario, California/UNLV
- Guided Grand Canyon to a 2-0 record last week with wins at Wyoming (82-70) and against IU Indy (91-78).
- Averaged 23.5 points and six rebounds, while shooting 72.7 percent (16-of-22) from the floor.
- In the MW opener, he recorded 18 points and four boards. Also tallied two assists and a steal.
- In the victory over the Jaguars, registered a career-high 29 points and pulled down eight rebounds.

TYRIN JONES, UNLV
Freshman, Forward, Las Vegas, Nevada/Layton Christian Academy
- Helped UNLV open MW action with an 84-72 victory over Fresno State.
- Scored a career-high 18 points behind a perfect 7-for-7 effort from the field.
- Also recorded five rebounds, three blocked shots and three assists.
