COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State’s Tierney Barlow was tabbed the Old Trapper Mountain West Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate Lauren Larkin was named the Defensive and Freshman Player of the Week.

This is the second MW weekly honor for Barlow and Larkin this season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TIERNEY BARLOW, UTAH STATE
Senior, Middle Blocker, Colorado Springs, Colorado/Wyoming

  • Led the Aggies to a pair of wins over Colorado State (3-1) and Wyoming (3-0), helping Utah State secure a share of the MW regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the Credit Union 1 MW Women’s Volleyball Championship.
  • Averaged 3 kills per set on a .514 hitting percentage.
  • Against the Rams, recorded 12 kills, two service aces and one assist.
  • Against the Cowgirls, logged nine kills and an assist.


DEFENSIVE/FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LAUREN LARKIN, UTAH STATE
Redshirt Freshman, Middle Blocker, St. George, Utah/Desert Hills HS

  • Guided USU to two victories against Colorado State and Wyoming, which earned the Aggies a share of the MW regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the CU1 MW Women’s Volleyball Championship later this month.
  • Totaled 13 blocks for the Aggies across seven sets of action.
  • Against the Rams, registered five blocks, two kills and one dig.
  • Against the Cowgirls, tallied a career-high eight blocks and three kills.
