LOGAN, Utah – Utah State’s Bryson Barnes was one of eight FBS quarterbacks named to the Manning Award Stars of the Week following his performance in Utah State’s 30-25 Mountain West home win against San José State this past weekend.

It is the third time in his career Barnes has been named a Manning Award Star of the Week.

Joining Barnes as Manning Award Stars of the Week include Alonza Barnett III (James Madison), Ryder Burton (UAB), Joe Fagnano (UConn), Sam Leavitt (Arizona State), Miller Moss (Louisville), Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt) and Gunner Stockton (Georgia).

  • Accounted for 380 yards of total offense and two touchdowns in Utah State’s 30-25 Mountain West home win against San José State.
  • Was 22-of-31 passing for a career-high 326 yards and one touchdown. It was his second-career 300-yard passing game, including his first at USU.
  • Rushed for a team-high 54 yards on 16 carries with one touchdown.
  • Completed a career-long 74-yard pass for a touchdown and scored on a 2-yard run.
  • It is the fourth time this year that Barnes has rushed and passed for at least one touchdown in the same game and USU is 4-0 in those contests.
