COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 Mountain West Football Championship Game will be nationally televised on FOX for the seventh consecutive year, as announced today by FOX Sports.
The MW championship contest, which is in its 14th year, is slated for Friday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. CT/7 p.m. MT/6 p.m. PT/4 p.m. HT and will feature the top two teams that finish the Conference season with the highest winning percentages.
Mountain West teams will compete for a spot in the 12-team College Football Playoff as the top ranked non-autonomous six program.
The 2026 MW football season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 29, with four Mountain West teams in action in Week 0. Hawai‘i travels to Stanford, San José State is at USC and UNLV hosts Memphis. North Dakota State will make its FBS-debut against Jacksonville State.
