COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV junior Zi Yu Foong has been tabbed the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Month for September, while Wyoming rookie Kiley Reisner has been selected as the MW Freshman of the Month.

The monthly honors are the first for both athletes.

GOLFER OF THE MONTH
ZI YU FOONG, UNLV
Junior, Salangor, Malaysia/Lipscomb
• Turned in a pair of top-two finishes to open the season, tying for second at the Dick McGuire Invitational and tying for first at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic.
• Averaged 70.4 strokes over five rounds, with four rounds under par.
• Opened the fall campaign with a 2-under-par 214 to share runner-up honors at the Dick McGuire, shooting rounds of 69, 70 and 75.
• Captured her first career win with a 6-under 138 at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, the best 36-hole score of her career.
• Posted a 1-under 71 before firing a 5-under 67 in round two. The third round was rained out.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH
KILEY REISNER, WYOMING
Freshman, Northridge, California/Simi Valley HS
• Averaged 71.8 strokes over five rounds to open her collegiate career.
• Shot 2-under-par 214 in her Wyoming debut, turning in rounds of 74, 68 and 72 to tie for 10th at the Utah Valley Wolverine Invitational.
• Helped the Cowgirls to a second-place team finish in the event with a program-record score of 11-under 853.
• Led Wyoming with a 17th-place finish at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic, shooting a 1-over 145 over 36 holes in the rain-shortened tournament.
