COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV swept the Old Trapper Mountain West volleyball weekly honors following the third week of the 2025 season. Senior outside hitter Alondra Alarcon was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Week, while sophomore middle blocker Rheanna Deen-Jackson collected the Defensive Player of the Week nod. Rebel rookie Kaia Thiele picked up the Freshman of the Week honor. The trio guided the Rebels to a 2-1 week on the road with wins over UC Irvine (3-0) and Montana State (3-0) and a loss at Oregon State (3-1).

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALONDRA ALARCON, UNLV
Senior, Outside Hitter, Lima Peru/Florida Southwestern

  • Averaged 3.8 kills and logged an attack efficiency of .388 across 10 sets.
  • Against UC Irvine, tallied nine kills and one assist.
  • Against Montana State, logged 14 kills, two service aces and one assist.
  • At Oregon State, recorded 15 kills, three service aces and one assist.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RHEANNA DEEN-JACKSON, UNLV

  • Averaged two blocks per set for the Rebels over 10 sets of action.
  • Against UC Irvine, notched six blocks.
  • Against Montana State, logged one block.
  • At Oregon State, registered a career-high 13 blocks.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

  • Averaged 5.9 assists and 2.1 digs per set for the Rebs.
  • Against UC Irvine, logged 13 assists, four digs and one service ace.
