COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San José State sophomore Moa Andersson has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week. There is no MW Women’s Golf Freshman of the Week selection this week.

The weekly honor is the first of Andersson’s career.

  • Finished ninth at the Spartans’ Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational in Fairfax, California.
  • Shot a 1-under-par 215, highlighted by a career-low 5-under 67 in the opening round.
  • Added an even-par 72 in the final round to finish as one of only nine players to shoot under par in the tournament.
  • Helped SJSU to an eighth-place finish in the 14-team field, which featured six top-50 teams and 11 top-50 players.
