COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State has swept Mountain West Volleyball Players of the Week honors. Junior middle blocker Tierney Barlow was named the MW Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week while fellow middle blocker Kelsey Watson was tabbed the MW Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Aggie rookie Andrea Simovski collected the MW Volleyball Freshman of the Week nod.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TIERNEY BARLOW, UTAH STATE

Junior, Middle Blocker, Colorado Springs, Colorado/Wyoming

  • Guided Utah State to a 2-0 week with wins over Nevada (3-0) and Boise State (3-1).
  • Recorded a .643 hitting percentage on 28 attempts across seven sets of action and a .950 service percentage with two service aces.
  • Against the Wolf Pack, logged six kills, no attack errors with a .600 attack efficiency and one service ace.
  • Against the Broncos, tallied 13 kills on a .667 hitting percentage, along with a perfect service stat line and one service ace.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

KELSEY WATSON, UTAH STATE

Graduate, Middle Blocker, Ballwin, Missouri/Loyola Chicago

  • Assisted the Aggies to a 2-0 week with wins over Nevada and Boise State.
  • Logged 11 blocks on the week.
  • Against the Wolf Pack, tallied five block assists with no blocking errors.
  • Against the Broncos, notched six block assists for Utah State.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

ANDREA SIMOVSKI, UTAH STATE

  • Helped USU to a 2-0 week.
  • Averaged 4.14 kills per set, 1.57 digs per set and posted a .368 hitting percentage.
  • Against Nevada, totaled nine kills on a .600 attack efficiency, seven digs, one service ace and one assist.
  • Against Boise State, collected 20 kills, four digs and two blocks.
