COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State sophomore Reka Nyiradi has been tabbed the Mountain West Swimmer of the Week, while teammate Kaydence Bispo was selected MW Freshman of the Week. Air Force freshman Chloe Perkins was named the MW Diver of the Week.
SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
REKA NYIRADI, SAN DIEGO STATE
Sophomore, Budapest, Hungary
- Helped the Aztecs to a pair of dual victories at Alaska Fairbanks.
- Placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.69, the 100-yard free with a time of 52.46, the 1,000-yard free with a time of 10:27.80, and the 200-yard backstroke, in which she set a pool record with a time of 2:00.53.
- Swam legs of two victorious pool record-setting relays: the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:48.33 and the 400-yard free relay with a time of 3:30.04.
- Also swam a leg of the 200-yard free relay that placed second.
DIVER OF THE WEEK
CHLOE PERKINS, AIR FORCE
Freshman, Raleigh, North Carolina
- Helped the Falcons to a 4-0 record on the weekend in meets against Omaha and Liberty.
- In the 1-meter springboard, she recorded a score of 245.85 on back-to-back days, placing first and second.
- In the 3-meter springboard on Friday, logged a first-place score of 281.40, surpassing the NCAA Diving Zone standard.
- In the 3-meter springboard on Saturday, registered a score of 278.25, placing first, two points shy of the NCAA Diving Zone standard.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KAYDENCE BISPO, SAN DIEGO STATE
Swimmer, Modesto, California
- Helped the Aztecs to a pair of dual victories at Alaska Fairbanks.
- Placed first in the 50-yard free with a time of 23.97 and the 200-yard free with a time of 1:54.95.
- Placed second in the 100-yard free with a time of 53.30.
- Contributed to a pair of pool records in the 400-yard medley and 400-yard free relays.
- Also swam legs of the 200-yard medley and 200-yard free relays, which both placed first.
