COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State’s Naeemah Weathers has been selected as the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Fresno State’s Dionii Fraga was tabbed the MW Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, while UNLV’s Basia Latos garnered the MW Volleyball Freshman of the Week nod.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NAEEMAH WEATHERS, COLORADO STATE

Graduate, Middle Blocker, Colorado Springs, Colorado/Palmer Ridge HS

  • Led the Rams to a 2-0 opening week in Conference play with wins over Utah State, 3-2, and Nevada, 3-1, while on the road.
  • Averaged 3.56 kills per set with a .578 hitting percentage.
  • In the five-set thriller at Utah State, logged 19 kills with a .615 hitting percentage.
  • At Nevada, tallied 13 kills against the Wolf Pack.
  • Notched 4.39 points per set and a total of 39.5 points on the week for the Rams.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DIONII FRAGA, FRESNO STATE

Sophomore, Libero, Dinuba, California/Sanger HS

  • Helped the Bulldogs to a 1-1 week with a five-set win over Boise State.
  • Averaged 6.33 digs per set while logging a perfect reception percentage across 36 attempts.
  • Against San José State, logged 26 digs.
  • Against the Broncos, amassed a career-high 31 digs.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

BASIA LATOS, UNLV

Freshman, Outside Hitter, Lazy, Poland/School of Sports Championships

  • Helped the Rebels to a 1-1 week with a 3-1 win over New Mexico.
  • Averaged 3.38 kills per set along with 1.25 digs per set and recorded 28 points across both matches.
  • At New Mexico, tallied 17 kills, three assists, five digs and one service ace.
  • At Air Force, collected 10 kills and five digs.
