COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Washington State is headed to the 2026 NCAA Baseball Championship, making its 17th NCAA tournament appearance, and first since 2010, after claiming the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Baseball Championship title and earning the league’s automatic bid to the big dance.

Washington State (30-26) will face Oregon State (43-12) on Friday, May 29, at Noon PT, on ESPN+ to open the Eugene Regional. Also appearing in the regional are host Oregon and Yale, who will play in the late game on Friday evening.

This marks the 459th meeting between the Cougars and the Beavers in program history. Washington State has a 236-219-3 overall record against Oregon State since the first meeting in 1910. In 2026, WSU met OSU twice on the diamond, splitting the series 1-1.

With a 15-9 record in MW action, WSU earned the No. 2 seed in the MW tournament and knocked off top-seeded San Diego State on Sunday to claim the Cougars first MW championship crown.

Washington State’s roster features five All-Mountain West selections, including the 2026 MW Pitcher of the Year Nick Lewis. Additionally, the Cougars had four on the MW All-Tournament team, including the tournament MVP Gavin Roy.
