COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West has announced the Women’s Tennis All-Tournament Team, as selected by the league’s 12 head coaches. The team recognizes student-athletes who competed in the majority of the conference tournament at the position for which they were selected. This year’s All-Tournament Team features representatives from Boise State, Grand Canyon and San Diego State.

After winning its third tournament title in program history, San Diego State collected five of the six All-Tournament Singles honors and two of the three All Tournament-Doubles awards, led by MW Tournament MVP Jo-Yee Chan. The senior went unbeaten across singles and doubles with a pair of straight-set wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals and a 3-0 record in doubles, which included securing the doubles point alongside freshman Vessa Turley with a 7-6 tiebreak-win in the Championship Match against UNLV. Chan along with Turley also collected the No. 1 doubles honors, capping their season as the Conference’s No. 1 ranked doubles pair.

Joining Chan on the singles squad is Gloria Alogo at No. 2, Vesa Gjina at No. 4, Teja Tirunelveli at No. 5 and Liisa Varul at No. 6. Alogo and Varul also teamed up at the Championship, earning the No. 3 doubles honors.

Boise State’s Masa Viriant was voted as the No. 3 singles all-tournament selection, while Grand Canyon’s Gala Arangio and Karina Hofbauer earned the No. 2 doubles honor after going unbeaten across three matches on the week.
