COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West recognized the accomplishments of its gymnastics student-athletes as the league announced All-MW teams for the 2026 season on Friday.
All-Mountain West performers were determined by the final National Qualifying Score going into the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Gymnastics Championship. Gymnasts that were ranked first through third were awarded first team, while those gymnasts that ranked fourth through sixth were awarded second team.
Instances where more than three student-athletes were awarded first or second team honors were due to ties in the NQS rankings.
Specialists of the Year were determined by the gymnasts with the highest National Qualifying Score (NQS) going into the 2026 Credit Union 1 MW Gymnastics Championship.
Gymnast, Freshman and Coach of the Year awards were determined by votes by the league’s four head coaches.
2026 Mountain West Vault Specialist of the Year
Maggie Slife, Air Force
- Led the Mountain West with an NQS of 9.895.
- Five-time MW Vault Specialist of the Week.
2026 Mountain West Bars Specialist of the Year
Maggie Slife, Air Force
- Led the Mountain West with an NQS of 9.940.
- Swept MW Bars Specialist of the Week honors.
2026 Mountain West Beam Specialist of the Year

- Led the Mountain West with an NQS of 9.895.
- Six-time MW Beam Specialist of the Week.
2026 Mountain West Floor Specialist of the Year

- Led the Mountain West with an NQS of 9.900.
- Seven-time MW Floor Specialist of the Week.
2026 Mountain West Freshman of the Year
Sophie Patterson, San José State
- Highest ranked freshman in the MW in the all-around.
- Earned second-team all-MW honors in the all-around.
- Two-time MW Vault Specialist of the Week, capturing individual titles on the event twice during the year.
- MW Beam Specialist of the Week on March 3.
- Four-time MW Freshman of the Week.
2026 Mountain West Coach of the Year
Jennifer Green, Air Force
- Led Air Force to a share of the MW regular-season title, the first for the Falcons in program history.
- The Falcons set a MW and school record with a 197.150 overall mark in the 2026 season finale.
- Air Force is on track to appear in NCAA regionals as a team for the first time since 2002.
2026 Mountain West Gymnast of the Year
Maggie Slife, Air Force
- Earned first-team All-MW honors and led the conference in every event, including the all-around, vault, bars, beam and floor.
- Led the MW with 39 weekly accolades this season.
- Broke the MW record in the all-around three times during the year.
- Broke the MW record on bars and tied it a second time with a 9.975.
- Broke the MW record on beam with a 9.975.

The 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Gymnastics Championship will take place on Saturday, March 21, at ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho, with all four teams poised to compete for the Conference title. The 2026 meet will begin with Utah State on vault, San José State on bars, Air Force on beam and host Boise State on floor.
