FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Three Utah State track & field athletes earned second-team All-American honors at the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Friday.

Senior Logan Hammer cleared 5.40 meters (17-8.5) to tie for 14th place in the men’s pole vault. The winner of three-straight Mountain West titles in the event cleared the height on his first jump of the day, before failing to clear the bar at 5.50 meters (18-0.5). Hammer, who earned first-team honors at the 2025 indoor championships and second-team honors at the outdoor championships in 2024 and 2025, became the eighth four-time All-American in Utah State track and field history. Ashton Barkdull of Kansas claimed the pole vault national title with a jump of 5.80 meters (19-0.25), defeating reigning outdoor champion Aleksandr Solovev of Texas A&M on tiebreakers.

Sophomore Ayodele Ojo, Jr. took 15th in the men’s 60 meters with a time of 6.71, earning second-team All-American honors. The native of Waxahachie, Texas became Utah State’s first-ever All-American in the 60 meters and the Aggies’ first in a sprint event since 2016. Ojo, who was seeded 15th in the field entering the event, took eighth in the first heat of the 60-meter semifinals.

Junior Landon Bott finished the men’s 800 meters in 1:52.28, finishing 16th in the field to claim second-team All-American honors. The North Salt Lake, Utah, native became the first Aggie since 2018 to claim All-American honors in the indoor 800 meters.

Utah State will open the outdoor track and field season at the Utah Tech Invitational in St. George, Utah, on Saturday, March 21.
