COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West has announced the 2026 Indoor Track & Field All-Conference team, which is composed of the top three finishers in each individual event and the top three relay teams at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The New Mexico women won their second straight MW championship, while the Colorado State men captured a MW indoor title three-peat, winning for a third consecutive year.

The Lobos won their fourth title in program history after tallying 165 points, their highest winning point total in program history, and beat second-place Nevada (84 points) by 76 points. The Rams collected 138 points to claim their seventh Mountain West title, holding off the New Mexico men, who finished second with 122 points.

New Mexico’s Darren Gauson earned his second MW Women’s Indoor Coach of the Year honor at the conclusion of the event and has now collected the honor on the women’s side five times across cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field over the last two seasons. Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard was named the MW Men’s Coach of the Year for a third straight year, his sixth men’s coach of the year honor of his career.

New Mexico’s Pamela Kosgei was named the MW Women’s Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet after sweeping the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter races for a second consecutive title in both events. The sophomore set Championship meet records to break marks she set a year ago, clocking a time of 8:58.58 in the 3,000m and a 15:32.15 in the 5,000m.

For a third consecutive year, the MW Men’s Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet award went to New Mexico’s Habtom Samuel after the junior won both long distance events for a third straight year, breaking his own MW championship records in the 3,000-meter (7:48.35) and 5,000-meter (13:30.40) races.

San Diego State’s Xiamara Young was named the MW Women’s Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet after sweeping the long jump and triple jump titles. The junior recorded a top mark of 6.50 meters (21-4.0) to win the long jump followed by a winning mark of 13.48 meters (44-2.75) in the triple jump, which is tied for 14th and ninth in the nation and secure her spot in the NCAA Championship.
