COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West has announced the 2026 Credit Union 1 MW Women’s Basketball Championship bracket. The four-day tournament begins Saturday, March 7, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

San Diego State clinched the outright regular-season title and the No. 1 seed with a road victory at Boise State on Feb. 25 (66-64). The Scarlet and Black look to secure the program’s fourth Mountain West Championship crown and their first in consecutive years. The UNLV Lady Rebels secured the No. 2 seed tonight, with Colorado State in as the No. 3 seed and the New Mexico Lobos earning the final first-round bye as the No. 4 seed.

League newcomer, Grand Canyon, is the No. 6 seed, Fresno State the No. 7 seed, Wyoming the No. 8 seed, Air Force the No. 9 seed, Nevada the No. 10 seed and filling the last two spots on the bracket are Utah State and San José State as the No. 11 and No. 12 seeds, respectively.

In 2025-26, the regular season concluded with six MW teams tallying double-digit victories in Conference play, tying for the second-most all-time in league history. This sets up a highly competitive Conference tournament, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday with No. 8 Wyoming vs. No. 9 Air Force tipping off at Noon PT.

In game two, No. 5 Boise State will face No. 12 San José State at 2:30 p.m. PT, followed by No. 7 seed Fresno State taking on No. 10 Nevada at 5 p.m. PT before closing out the first round with No. 6 Grand Canyon against the No. 11 seeded Utah State.

Day two of the tournament will tip off with No. 1 seed San Diego State taking on the winner of the Cowgirls-Falcons matchup, followed by No. 4 New Mexico vs. the winner of the No. 5 Boise State vs. No. 12 San José State game at 2:30 p.m. PT. No. 2 UNLV will face the winner of the Fresno State vs. Nevada matchup at 5 p.m. PT. The No. 3 Colorado State Rams will finish out the quarterfinals by taking on the winner of the Grand Canyon vs. Utah State game at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Semifinals are set to tip off on Tuesday, March 10, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. PT, with the tournament crown being awarded on Wednesday, March 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m. PT.

Every game through the semifinal round of the Credit Union 1 MW Women’s Basketball Championship will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and Mountain West App, while the championship game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
