RENO, Nev. – The 2026 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships begin Thursday, Feb. 26, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. This is the first time in Conference history the Championship meet will take place in Reno.
The New Mexico women are looking for a second straight Mountain West title after ending Colorado State’s streak of three consecutive Championship wins last year in Albuquerque, while the Ram men will be going for a third straight championship.
The three-day event will see multiple student-athletes going for repeat titles. On the men’s side, New Mexico’s Brodie Young (400-meter), Utah State’s Landon Bott (800-meter) and Boise State’s Landon Helms (Heptathlon) are all looking for their second straight individual wins, while New Mexico’s Habtom Samuel (3,000-meter, 5,000-meter) and Utah State’s Logan Hammer (Pole Vault) are each seeking a three-peat in their respective events.
Leading the way for the women is Lobo sophomore Pamela Kosgei, who will be going for back-to-back titles in both the 3,000- and the 5,000-meter races, and Fresno State’s Elizabeth Tarczy, who is eyeing a second consecutive high jump title.
