COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Several familiar names are found in the weekly gymnastics award winners for Week 7 of the 2026 season as Air Force’s Alyssa Bigler and Maggie Slife, along with San José State’s Mikaela Pitts and Sophie Patterson earned repeat accolades. 

ALL-AROUND GYMNAST, CO-VAULT, BARS, BEAM & CO-FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE
Junior, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin/Arrowhead HS

  • Scored a league-best 39.575 in the all-around to win the title in a tri-meet against UC Davis and MW-foe San José State.
  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.850 on vault to finish third in a quad meet against Illinois, Missouri and Ball State.
  • Scored a league-best 9.900 on bars in a pair of meets this week, including a second-place finish in the quad meet against Illinois, Missouri and Ball State, and an individual title on the event in the tri-meet at San José State.
  • Scored a league-best 9.925 on beam to win the event at San José State.
  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.925 on floor to share the individual title at San José State with teammate Alyssa Bigler.
  • Slife has tallied 28 weekly awards this season.                                                                                                                                                                                        

CO-VAULT SPECIALIST
MIKAELA PITTS, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Senior, San Luis Obispo, California/San Luis Obispo HS

  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.850 on vault to win the event against Air Force and UC Davis.
  • The award is Pitt’s second Vault Specialist of the Week recognition this year and first since Week 1of the 2026 season.

CO-FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
ALYSSA BIGLER, AIR FORCE
Sophomore, Phoenix, Arizona/Sandra Day O’Connor HS

  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.925 on floor to share the individual title at San José State with teammate Maggie Slife.
  • Also competed in the all-around during the meet, scoring a season-high 39.275, including a 9.750 on vault, 9.775 on bars and 9.825 on beam.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SOPHIE PATTERSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE
New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary

  • Scored a 9.875 on beam to finish second on the event against Air Force and UC Davis.
  • The 9.875 was the highest mark by a freshman on any event in the Mountain West this week.
