COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV forward Meadow Roland was tabbed the Old Trapper Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Wyoming’s Jane Rumpf collected the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week nod.

This is Roland’s fourth weekly honor and second for Rumpf this season.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MEADOW ROLAND, UNLV
Sophomore, Forward, Fresno, California/San Joaquin Memorial HS

  • Led the Lady Rebels to a 1-1 week with a setback to Wyoming (82-72) and a victory over Grand Canyon (74-65).
  • Averaged a double-double on the week with 28.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
  • Against the Cowgirls, recorded a career-high 30 points, while shooting 43.5 percent from the floor (10-for-23), drained two threes and was 8-for-9 nine from the charity stripe. Also contributed 12 boards, five assists, one block and one steal.
  • Against the Lopes, registered 27 points, 15 rebounds, one block and one steal.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
JANE RUMPF, WYOMING
Forward, Denver, Colorado/Regis Jesuit HS

  • Guided the Cowgirls to a 1-1 week with a win over UNLV (82-72) and a loss to Boise State (56-54).
  • Averaged 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range.
  • At UNLV, logged a career-high 20 points, while shooting 50 percent (7-for-14) from the floor and 54.5 percent (6-for-11) from beyond the arc. Also tallied nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.
  • Against the Broncos, tallied nine points, five boards, one assist, one block and one steal.
