COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Grand Canyon senior guard Jaden Henley has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while New Mexico guard Jake Hall was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.
This is the second weekly honor of the season for both Henley and Hall.
MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JADEN HENLEY, GRAND CANYON
Senior, Guard, Ontario, California/UNLV
- Guided Grand Canyon to victories over San Diego State (70-69) and Fresno State (68-57).
- Averaged 20 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two starts for the Lopes.
- Against the Aztecs, tallied 17 points, seven boards and dished out two assists.
- Against the Bulldogs, posted a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
MEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
JAKE HALL, NEW MEXICO
Guard, Carlsbad, California/Carlsbad HS
- Helped New Mexico to a pair of wins over Fresno State (83-74) and Nevada (80-73).
- Averaged 17.5 points and six rebounds, while connecting on 42.3 percent of attempts from the field.
- Recorded 16 points and six boards against the Bulldogs.
- Registered 19 points, six rebounds and four assists against the Wolf Pack.
