AROUND THE MOUNTAIN WEST
• The MW has one program in the top 75 of the NET (San Diego State – 74) and five in the top 130 (Colorado State – 81, UNLV – 85; New Mexico – 119; Boise State – 121; Grand Canyon – 128).
• The Mountain West is one of 10 leagues (ACC, A10, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Ivy, SEC, Sun Belt and WCC) and one of six non-Autonomous 4 leagues that have three or more teams ranked in the top 90 of the NET rankings.
• Mountain West teams have taken down six Autonomous 4 and Big East programs: UNLV 85 – DePaul 78, Grand Canyon 78 – SMU 60, UNLV 76 – Creighton 67, New Mexico 72 at Arizona 69, San Diego State 64 at Kansas State 53, New Mexico 63 – Houston 41.
• The MW is one of 10 leagues and one of seven non-A4 conferences, to hold opponents to 63.2 points per game or less this season (SEC – 59.9, America East – 60.1, Ivy – 60.6, Big 12 – 61.6, Coastal – 62.1, A10 – 62.1, Southern – 62.3, Patriot – 62.7, Big East, 62.8, Mountain West – 63.2).
• Since the beginning of last season, Colorado State is 14-3 (.824) on the road while San Diego State is 16-4 (.800) while away from home. The only other league with two teams that are .800 or better on the road over the last two seasons is the Big Ten (UCLA and Maryland).
• SDSU is one of nine DI teams to be undefeated since Thanksgiving, going 10-0 since then. The Aztec’s 10-game winning streak is the longest by a MW team since UNLV had a 15-0 game run in 2023-24.
• As a team, the Broncos are ranked fourth in DI for 3-point percentage (39.1).
• The Rams are ranked 22nd in DI in opponent points (55.9) and opponent field goal percentage (35.9).
• The Aztecs are ranked 17th in DI in three-pointers made per game (9.1).
• Boise State’s Natalie Pasco is shooting 46.7 percent from three-point range this season, the highest three-point percentage by any of the 208 DI players with at least 100 attempts. The last MW player to finish a season with such a high three-point percentage on at least 100 attempts was Wyoming’s Marta Gomez in 2018-19 (47.4).
• UNLV’s Shelbee Brown is one of three DI players averaging at least 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game this season, along with FIU’s Rhema Collins and Brown’s Alyssa Moreland.

• UNLV’s Destiny Leo has been named to the 2026 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list. Leo is one of 20 student-athletes on the list.
• UNLV’s Lindy La Rocque has been named to the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year preseason watch list.
• The MW welcomes three new head coaches to the league: Ryan McCarthy (Fresno State), Winston Gandy (Grand Canyon) and Jonas Chatterton (San José State).
• Four MW programs competed in postseason tournaments last season: Air Force (WNIT), San Diego State (NCAA), UNLV (WBIT), Wyoming (WBIT).
