COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The parity of competition in Mountain West gymnastics was on full display in Week 2 as all four teams in the league garnered weekly awards.

ALL-AROUNDER, VAULT, BARS & CO-FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK

MAGGIE SLIFE, AIR FORCE

Junior, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin/Arrowhead HS

  • Scored a league-best 39.425 in the all-around to capture the individual title at the New Hampshire quad meet.
  • Scored a league-best 9.900 on vault to earn the individual title on that event.
  • Scored a league-best 9.875 on bars to record her third individual title at New Hampshire.
  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.900 on floor to tie teammate Alyssa Biglerfor the individual title on that event.
  • Rounded out her all-around title with a 9.750 on beam.
  • Slife has tallied eight weekly awards this season.

CO-BEAM & CO-FLOOR SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK

ALYSSA BIGLER, AIR FORCE STATE

Sophomore, Phoenix, Arizona/Sandra Day O’Connor HS

  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.850 on beam, matching the mark tallied by Utah State’s Nyla Morabito.
  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.900 on floor at the New Hampshire quad to share the individual title with teammate Maggie Slife.
  • Also competed in the all-around at the meet, scoring a 39.075, including a 9.800 on vault and 9.525 on bars.

CO-BEAM SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK

NYLA MORABITO, UTAH STATE

Junior, Welland, Ontario, Canada/Notre Dame College School

  • Scored a league-best-tying 9.850 on beam, matching the mark tallied by Air Force’s Alyssa Bigler.
  • Also scored a 9.850 on vault in a dual meet against Southern Utah.

FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK

MIRAYA NERO, BOISE STATE

Omaha, Nebraska/Omaha Westview HS

  • Scored a 9.825 on beam, tying the highest mark by a freshman on any event this week.
  • Also competed in the all-around in a dual meet against BYU, scoring a 9.775 on vault, 9.775 on bars and 9.700 on floor for her all-around total of 39.075.

SOPHIE PATTERSON, SAN JOSÉ STATE

New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary

  • Scored a 9.825 on vault, tying the highest mark by a freshman on any event this week.
  • Also competed in the all-around in a dual meet against UC Davis, scoring a 9.550 on bars, 9.775 on beam and 9.575 on floor for her all-around total of 38.725.
  • Patterson has won Freshman of the Week in back-to-back weeks this season.

ANABELLE DEWEY, UTAH STATE

Mount Juliet, Tennessee/Barry Tatum Virtual Learning Academy

  • Scored a 9.825 on floor, tying the highest mark by a freshman on any event this week.
  • Also scored a 9.775 on vault in a dual meet against Southern Utah.
