COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced on Tuesday athletes of the week for women’s swimming & diving. UNLV’s Ava Olson was named the MW Swimmer of the Week, Air Force’s Chloe Perkins earned MW Diver of the Week honors and the Falcon’s Natalie Doig was tabbed as the MW Freshman of the Week.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
AVA OLSON, UNLV
Junior, Tulare, California/Tulare Union HS
• Broke a school record and collected two top five finishes in a double dual-meet against No. 11 USC and UC San Diego.
• Posted a third-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle and broke her own school record with a time of 9:50.25, surpassing previous record by 1.57 seconds.
• Finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:50.81.
• Also finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.89.
• This is her second Mountain West Swimmer of the Week honor this season.

MOUNTAIN WEST DIVER OF THE WEEK
CHLOE PERKINS, AIR FORCE
Sophomore, Raleigh, North Carolina/Cardinal Gibbons HS
• Helped guide the Falcons to a 3-0 record on the weekend, including a pair of Mountain West wins over Colorado State and New Mexico.
• Picked up two wins on the 3-meter dive with scores of 285.83 and 295.55, both surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Posted a 266.55 score on the 1-meter dive in a double dual-meet against Colorado State and New Mexico, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.

MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
NATALIE DOIG, AIR FORCE
Swimmer, Melbourne Beach, Florida/ Holy Trinity HS
• Helped lead the Falcons to a 3-0 weekend and a pair of Mountain West wins over Colorado State and New Mexico.
• Picked up first wins as a collegiate swimmer in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly against Northern Colorado with times of 57.91 and 2:06.42, respectfully.
• Finished second in the 100-yard and 200-yard butterfly in a double dual-meet against Colorado State and New Mexico with times of 57.85 and 2:07.70, respectfully.
• Tied for the most individual points score (18) against Northern Colorado.
