COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – UNLV’s Shelbee Brown was selected as the Old Trapper Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Nevada’s Skylar Durley earned the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week nod.
This is the second weekly honor for Brown and first for Durley during the 2025-26 season.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SHELBEE BROWN, UNLV
Graduate, Forward, Memphis, Tennessee/Akron
- Led the Lady Rebels to a pair of victories over Fresno State (85-59) and Air Force (64-58).
- Averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals per game and shot 63.2 percent from the floor.
- Against the Bulldogs, tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
- At Air Force, registered 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SKYLAR DURLEY, NEVADA
Guard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma/Edmond North HS
- Helped the Wolf Pack to a 1-1 week with a road loss to Boise State (74-62) and a win over Utah State (58-40).
- Averaged 11 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists for Nevada.
- At Boise State, recorded 10 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block.
- Against the Aggies, logged 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one steal.
