COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State junior guard BJ Davis has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while New Mexico forward Tomislav Buljan was tabbed the Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week.

BJ DAVIS, SAN DIEGO STATE

- Led San Diego State to a pair of victories last week over San José State (81-68) and against Boise State (110-107) in triple overtime.
- Averaged 20 points and seven rebounds, while shooting 52.0 percent (13-of-25) from the floor.
- Against the Spartans, recorded 18 points, including 10 points in the final five minutes of the game. Also posted three boards and two assists and connected on 70 percent of attempts from the field.
- Registered first career double-double against the Broncos with a career-best 22 points and 11 rebounds. Also dished out six assists.
MEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
TOMISLAV BULJAN, NEW MEXICO
Freshman, Forward, Split, Croatia/KK Cedevita Junior
- Helped New Mexico to a 1-1 record last week with a win over Wyoming (78-58) and a loss at Boise State (62-53).
- Averaged a double-double with 20.5 points and 11 rebounds per game, while shooting 70.8 percent (17-of-24) from the field.
- Posted 16 points and 10 boards on the road against the Broncos.
- Recorded 25 points and 12 rebounds against the Cowboys. Shot 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the field, the highest field goal percentage in a MW game by a freshman in five seasons.
