COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced on Tuesday athletes of the week for women’s swimming & diving. Wyoming’s Tara Joyce was named the MW Swimmer of the Week, Nevada’s Bailey Heydra earned MW Diver of the Week honors and Nevada’s Citlali Ruiz Rocandio was tabbed as the MW Freshman of the Week.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
TARA JOYCE, WYOMING
Junior, Cody, Wyoming/Cody HS
• Broke two Wyoming records while competing at the UNLV Finis Invitational.
• Won the 100-yard freestyle with an NCAA qualification time of 48.56, which is a program record and ranks as the third-fastest time in the Mountain West this year.
• Anchored the 400-yard freestyle relay which took first at 3:18.15 and broke a school record set earlier this season.

MOUNTAIN WEST DIVER OF THE WEEK
BAILEY HEYDRA, NEVADA
Senior, Johannesburg, South Africa/St Stithians College
• Helped lead Nevada to a dual-meet victory over New Mexico by winning both diving competitions.
• Took first place in the 1-meter dive with a season-best score of 353.85, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 391.65, again surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Both dives were top scores in the MW this week.

MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
CITLALI RUIZ ROCANDIO, NEVADA
Diver, Ecatepec de Morelos, Mexico/Preparatoria La Salle – Unidad Condesa
• Helped lead Nevada to a dual-meet victory over New Mexico.
• Finished second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 311.25, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Finished sixth in the 3-meter dive with a score of 295.43, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
