  • The MW has one program in the top 65 of the NET (Colorado State – 61) and four in the top 112 (San Diego State – 84; UNLV – 97; New Mexico – 112).
  • Mountain West teams have taken down six Autonomous 4 and Big East teams: UNLV 85 – DePaul 78, Grand Canyon 78 – SMU 60, UNLV 76 – Creighton 67, New Mexico 72 at Arizona 69, San Diego State 64 at Kansas State 53, New Mexico 63 – Houston 41.
  • The MW is one of eight leagues to hold opponents to 62.3 points per game or less this season (SEC – 56.2, Big Ten – 58.5, Big 12 – 59.3, America East – 59.4, Ivy – 60.9, ACC – 61.0, Big East – 61.6).
  • As a team, Boise State is ranked 10th in DI for 3-point percentage (38.7).
  • Colorado State is one of three DI teams leading its confere nce in opponent points per game, FG% allowed and turnover margin (UConn-Big East and Charleston-Coastal).
  • Colorado State has won eight straight road games in Conference play, with the last three victories all coming by 13 or more points. The MW record for most consecutive league road wins by 13+ points is four, done five times, with the most recent streak being by the Rams (spanning 2015-16 and 2016-17).
  • UNLV’s Destiny Leo made six of her last eight 3-point attempts while playing 19 minutes against New Mexico on Saturday. The six made 3s are the most in a conference game by any player in MW history while playing fewer than 20 minutes.
  • UNLV’s Shelbee Brown leads the MW with 110 rebounds this season while being second in steals with 32. The only player in Conference history to finish first in either category and in the top two in the other was UNLV’s Linda Frohlich, 1999-2000 (first in rebounds, second in steals).

  • UNLV’s Destiny Leo has been named to the 2026 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list. Leo is one of 20 student-athletes on the list.
     
  • UNLV’s Lindy La Rocque has been named to the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year preseason watch list.
  • The MW welcomes three new head coaches to the league: Ryan McCarthy (Fresno State), Winston Gandy (Grand Canyon) and Jonas Chatterton (San José State).
  • Four MW programs competed in postseason tournaments last season: Air Force (WNIT), San Diego State (NCAA), UNLV (WBIT), Wyoming (WBIT).
