- Fresno State is holding opponents to 21.4% from three this season, third-best among DI teams. It’s also tied for the lowest 3-point percentage ever allowed by a MW team through eight games of a season (Boise State, 2024-25).
- Mountain West women’s basketball logged a nonconference win percentage of .587 in 2024-25, which was its best since the 2009-10 season, when the league went 79-48 (.622).
- Four MW programs competed in postseason tournaments last season: Air Force (WNIT), San Diego State (NCAA), UNLV (WBIT), Wyoming (WBIT).
- The MW welcomes three new head coaches to the league: Ryan McCarthy (Fresno State), Winston Gandy (Grand Canyon) and Jonas Chatterton (San José State).
- UNLV’s Destiny Leo has been named to the 2026 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list. Leo is one of 20 student-athletes on the list.
- UNLV’s Lindy La Rocque has been named to the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year preseason watch list.
