COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Five Mountain West football coaches were named nominees for the 2025-26 Broyles Award. Established in 1996, the award annually honors the top assistant coach in the nation.

Boise State defensive coordinator Erik Chinander, New Mexico defensive coordinator Spence Nowinsky, San Diego State defensive coordinator Rob Aurich, San José State offensive coordinator Craig Stutzmann and Utah State offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven represent the MW among the nominees for the 30th edition of the award.

Fans can vote to determine the semifinalists at http://broylesaward.com/vote until 11 p.m. CT on Nov. 30. That will be the first of three rounds of voting.

The 2026 awards ceremony will take place Feb. 12-13 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
