COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Old Trapper Mountain West Football Players of the Week have been announced for Week 11. Hawai‘i sophomore wide receiver Jackson Harris has been tabbed the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Utah State junior safety Brevin Hamblin is the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Hawai‘i running back/kick returner Cam Barfield was named the MW Special Teams Player of the Week and Rainbow Warrior quarterback Micah Alejado is the MW Freshman of the Week.

The MW awards are the ninth for Alejado and first each for Harris, Hamblin and Barfield.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JACKSON HARRIS, HAWAI‘I
Sophomore, Wide Receiver, Berkeley, California/Stanford
• Had seven catches for 130 yards and three touchdowns in Hawai‘i’s 38-6 win over San Diego State, which entered the contest No. 2 in the FBS in scoring defense and No. 6 in total defense.
• Averaged 18.6 yards per catch.
• Had touchdown catches of 9, 34 and 35 yards.
• Became the first player to record at least 100 receiving yards against the Aztecs since October 2023, snapping SDSU’s MW-record 25-game streak of not allowing a 100-yard receiver.
• Notched his fifth straight game with at least 100 receiving yards, the longest streak in the FBS this season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BREVIN HAMBLIN, UTAH STATE
Junior, Safety, Syracuse, Utah/Utah Tech
• Recorded an interception, a fumble recovery and a team-best eight tackles, including a season-high 1.5 tackles for loss and a career-high-tying 1.0 sack, in Utah State’s 51-14 win over Nevada.
• Returned his first career interception 38 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to make it a 24-0 game.
• Recovered a fumble, the first of his career, at the 1-yard line to keep Nevada out of the end zone.
• Was part of a Utah State defense that held Nevada to no points, zero first downs, and just 47 yards of total offense in the first half and just 242 yards for the game.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CAM BARFIELD, HAWAI‘I
Junior, Running Back/Kick Returner, Las Vegas, Nevada/Boston College
• Returned the second-half kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in Hawai‘i’s 38-6 win over San Diego State.
• Recorded the Rainbow Warriors’ first special teams touchdown of the season and Hawai‘i’s first kickoff return touchdown since 2020.
• It was the first special teams touchdown allowed by the Aztecs this season.
• Barfield added 69 rushing yards to finish with 163 all-purpose yards in the win.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MICAH ALEJADO, HAWAI‘I
Redshirt Freshman, Quarterback, Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman HS
• Completed 22 of 34 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hawai‘i past San Diego State, 38-6.
• Recorded TD passes of 9, 34 and 35 yards, all to Jackson Harris.
• Threw three touchdown passes for the fifth straight game, marking the first time a Hawai‘i player has done so since 2006.
• Led the Rainbow Warriors to 30-plus points for the fifth straight game.
