COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced on Tuesday athletes of the week for women’s swimming & diving. Grand Canyon’s Taylor Stasny was named the MW Swimmer of the Week, Nevada’s Bailey Heydra earned MW Diver of the Week honors and Grand Canyon’s Sara Mose was tabbed as the MW Freshman of the Week.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
TAYLOR STASNY, GRAND CANYON
Sophomore, Dyer, Indiana/Illiana Christian HS
• Won three individual races (100-yard individual medley, 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard breaststroke) and also took second in the 50-yard breaststroke after turning in career best times in each event at Hawai‘i.
• Also was part of the 400-yard medley relay, which finished first, and had second-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke and on the 200-yard medley relay.
• Set a Grand Canyon record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:12.10.
• Owns three top times in the Mountain West this season: 100-yard individual medley 55.64 (which also ranks fourth in the country), 200-yard individual medley (2:00.58) and the 400-yard medley relay (3:43.53).

MOUNTAIN WEST DIVER OF THE WEEK
BAILEY HEYDRA, NEVADA
Senior, Johannesburg, South Africa/St Stithians College
• Earned 18 points for Nevada, the highest individual total of the meet, in dual meet against UC Davis.
• Won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 330.90, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Also claimed first place in 1-meter diving with a score of 324.00, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Outscored the runner-up by over 50 points in the 3-meter and over 40 points in the 1-meter.
• This is her third career MW Diver of the Week after earning the honor twice last season.

MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SARA MOSE, GRAND CANYON
Swimmer, Warsaw, Poland/Szkola w Chmurze HS
• Won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle, with career best times in both events, and was part of the winning 400-medley relay in a pair of duals at Hawai‘i.
• Set a pool record at Hawai‘i in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.78.
• Ranks first in the Mountain West in the 50-yard freestyle (22.78) and in the 100-yard freestyle (49.72).
