Junior Joseph White paced the Falcons in the win, as he clocked a time of 25:05.40 – the fourth-fastest 8K by an Air Force runner on Colorado soil – to finish second in the 52-runner event. Classmate Roman Thomas placed third with a 25:12.12 finish, while senior Ashton Higgerson and sophomore Patrick Allen rounded out the Falcons’ list of top-five finishers, as they placed fourth (25:14.93) and fifth (25:29.82), respectively. Freshman Josh Shriver completed the squad’s scoring lineup, as he finished eighth after completing the circuit around Monument Valley Park in a time of 25:49.19.
Overall, the Falcons place sixth in the top 10, as freshman Bryce Denton added a 10th-place time of 26:05.56. Classmate Auge Martin also raced at MVP on Saturday, clocking a time of 26:50.05 to finish 22nd.
The Falcons are back in action on Oct. 10, when they travel to Springfield, Ore., for the Bill Dellinger Invitational.
