COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State’s Tatum Berg has been named the Mountain West Women’s Cross Country Athlete and Freshman of the Week, while Wyoming’s Jacob White was selected as the MW Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week and Air Force’s Christopher Creedon earned MW Men’s Freshman of the Week honors.

White, a senior, was also named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country (USTFCCCA) Division I Men’s National Athlete of the Week on Sept. 22.

WOMEN’S ATHLETE & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
TATUM BERG, COLORADO STATE
Fort Collins, Colorado/Fossil Ridge HS

  • Won the 6k at Roadrunner Invitational with a time 21:34.24, the second-best 6k time in the Mountain West this fall.
  • The time also ranks first among freshman in the conference and No. 23 among Division I freshmen.
  • Led the Ram women to a first-place finish at the event with CSU winning by over 50 points.

MEN’S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JACOB WHITE, WYOMING
Senior, Littleton, Colorado/Dakota Ridge HS

  • Won the Merrill Fischbein Men’s Gold 8k at the Roy Griak Invitational with a time of 24:39.8, winning the race by over 17 seconds.
  • First student-athlete at Wyoming to win an individual title at the annual event.
  • Led the Cowboy men to a second-place team finish.

MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
CHRISTOPHER CREEDON, AIR FORCE
League City, Texas/Clear Creek HS

  • Falcons’ top freshman finisher at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational hosted by Nebraska.
  • Posted an 8k time 25:34.6 to finish 36th out of 316 runners.
  • Helped the Air Force men finish third.
