LOGAN, Utah – Utah State quarterback Bryson Barnes has been named the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week it was announced on Wednesday by the organization.

To be eligible for Burlsworth Trophy recognition a player must have begun his FBS (D1) college football career as a walk-on. Barnes, who is in his second season at Utah State, was a walk-on at Utah before earning a scholarship.

  • Helped Utah State post a season-opening 28-16 home win against UTEP.
  • Recorded 262 yards of total offense and accounted for three touchdowns.
  • Was 19-of-28 (.679) passing for 233 yards and one touchdown.
  • Rushed for 29 yards on 15 carries and one touchdown.
  • Has now thrown and rushed for a touchdown five times during his Aggie career.
