COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Basketball Championships will feature a new format, with all 12 men’s and women’s teams competing at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas from Saturday, March 7, to Saturday, March 14.
The women’s tournament begins on Saturday, March 7, and concludes on Tuesday, March 10, with the MW championship game. The men’s tournament will begin on Wednesday, March 11, and conclude with the champion crowned on Saturday, March 14.
With the addition of Grand Canyon to the MW for the 2025-26 academic year, the updated bracket features a No. 5 seed vs. a No. 12 seed in the opening round of both the men’s and women’s tournaments for the first time in Conference history.
In addition, the Mountain West has added a day to the postseason tournament format, which features the MW women’s basketball championship game as a standalone event on Tuesday, March 11.
