LOGAN, Utah – Former Utah State women’s basketball player Cheyenne Stubbs has signed her first professional contract, joining the Sheffield Hatters of the Super League Basketball. The Hatters are located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England.

Stubbs finished her career ranked fourth all-time at USU in scoring average with 16.3 points per game. She also ranks fourth all-time with 115 made 3-pointers, sixth with 338 3-point attempts and 10th with a 75.7 free throw percentage. Stubbs appeared in 56 games with 53 starts in two years at Utah State, leading the team in scoring in both seasons. As a senior in 2024-25, Stubbs made 56 3-pointers, tying for the sixth-most in program history for a single season. She scored in double figures in 20 games, including 20+ points in 11 contests, and scored a season-high 30 points against San Jose State. Stubbs became the first Aggie since 2016 to score 28 or more points in back-to-back games with 30 points against SJSU and 28 points against Nevada.

In her first year in Logan in 2023-24, Stubbs played in and started all 30 games, leading the squad and ranking fourth in the Mountain West with 16.1 points per game. Stubbs also led the team in rebounds (4.0), assists (1.9) and steals (1.7) per outing. Her 482 points that season rank eighth for a single season at USU, while her 59 made triples rank fifth in program history. Stubbs scored in double figures 23 times with nine outings of 20-plus points, including a 32-point outing at Nevada.

Prior to Utah State, Stubbs spent two seasons at Canisius in Buffalo, New York, appearing in 51 total games and starting 13. As a sophomore in 2022-23, Stubbs averaged 8.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. She scored in double figures in seven of the final 10 games of the season, including a then-career-high 25 points against Saint Peter’s. As a freshman in 2021-22, Stubbs twice received MAAC Rookie of the Week honors, and averaged 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game on the year.
