COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A total of three Mountain West men’s basketball teams and 10 student -athletes were honors for their efforts in the classroom by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
Boise State, San José State and Utah State each received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award in 2025. The honor is awarded to programs that produced a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year.
Individually, Boise State (Alvaro Cardenas, Tyson Degenhart, Dominic Parolin, Brennan Ramirez, O’Mar Stanley) had five student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court, while Utah State (Dexter Akkano, Drake Allen, Mason Falslev, Aubin Gateretse) had four players and San José State (Chol Marial) had one earn recognition. NABC Honors Court celebrates juniors, seniors and graduate students who finished the previous academic year with a 3.2 GPA or higher.
